Picture Me Broken

PICTURE ME BROKEN featuring Layla Brooklyn Allman

One of the first friends requests I got when I started my MySpace page was LANE FOUR, which later changed the name of their band to PICTURE ME BROKEN . I checked out their MySpace page and was very impressed by the talent these kids possessed at such a young age. As time progressed I stopped by their MySpace page occasionally and seen them morph into a full blown world class act. Although you won’t see it plastered all over their site, Layla is indeed the daughter of Gregg Allman founding member of the legendary Allman Brothers Band . Believe me, she has plenty of talent and by no means needs to ride on her father’s coattail. Her vocals are nothing less than amazing. I can’t believe that this band hasn’t been snatched up by a major record label. I’m going to talk to some people I know about getting them booked here in Seattle to perform. I would personally love to see their live show. Be sure to stop by their MySpace page and check out their original songs. My personal favorite is “Live Forever”. I wish them much deserved success in their musical careers. Below is a little info about them in their words.

- Gary Draper

We are all 15/ 16 years old and we love hard rock music. Our band was started by Eric, Austin & Nick in 7th grade, Layla joined shortly thereafter and we began playing covers and called ourselves Lane Four. We entered KFOX radio Last Band Standing contest and various other contests, and as a result we were featured live on the radio and gigs came rolling in. Recently we started writing all original material and have even more recently changed our name to Picture Me Broken. We are devoted to bringing you high energy, heavy rocking music and strive to be more than just the average kid band. We hope you can make it out to a show. Our music is inspired by a mix of melodic, female fronted bands such as Paramore, Heart, Flyleaf and screamo bands like Blessthefall, Before Their Eyes & Scary Kids Scaring Kids. Thanks to Projekt Revolution, MTV2 & Linkin Park for the opportunity to open the Projekt Revolution Show at Shoreline Amp! Also thanks to all who voted for us. We Rock for MS, Pets In Need, Toys For Tots, and Cancer Research.
